Breath Medicine Facilitator Training
September 2026 – June 2027
Learn to Facilitate Powerful, Transformational Expanded-State Breath Experiences for your Clients and Community
Breath Medicine is a powerful, relational, and trauma-informed practice that uses breath as a gateway into healing, integration, and embodied transformation.
The Breath Medicine Facilitator Training is a comprehensive, practice-based training designed for those who feel called to support others to experience healing and transformation using the breath to access and integrate expanded states of consciousness in a way that is ethical, grounded, and deeply attuned.
This training recognises that safe and effective facilitation cannot be learned through technique alone. It requires the development of presence, discernment, physiological literacy, relational skill, and personal practice.
Across ten moons, participants are guided through a layered and embodied learning journey that demonstrates how to safely open, hold, and integrate Breath Medicine processes for individuals and groups.
Who This Training Is For
This training is designed for practitioners, space-holders, and professionals who wish to develop strong, responsible facilitation skills in breath-based altered and expanded states.
Participants may include:
• Therapists, counsellors, and healthcare practitioners
• Bodyworkers, yoga and movement practitioners
• Psychedelic integration practitioners
• Breathwork facilitators seeking advanced training
• Retreat and group facilitators
• Individuals called to deep personal and professional development through breath and somatic practice
No single professional background is required. What matters most is a commitment to ethical practice, personal growth, and relational responsibility.
What Makes This Training Different
Breath Medicine training is not just a certification, based on learning the relevant technique required to facilitate breathwork. It is a facilitator development pathway grounded in:
Embodied Learning
Participants develop skill through supervised practice, immersive training, and personal breath journeys rather than theory alone.
Trauma-Informed and Physiology-Literate Practice
The training integrates holistic physiology, emotional regulation, somatic awareness, and breath pattern assessment so facilitators can respond safely to activation, vulnerability, and non-ordinary states.
Relational Facilitation
Participants learn to hold containers that prioritise autonomy, consent, and safety while maintaining depth and coherence of experience.
Integration-Focused Approach
Expanded states are treated as part of a larger integration process, with strong emphasis placed on meaning-making, regulation, and sustainable change.
Ongoing Supervision and Community
Learning is supported through mentorship, supervision, and a cohort-based community of practice.

The Breath Medicine Approach
At the core of Breath Medicine are two beliefs:
Inside each individual is a deep sense of intelligence that knows what that person needs to heal and create the change they seek in their life.
Our breath can act as a bridge that connects each one of us with this intelligence, empowering us to heal and grow.
As a Breath Medicine facilitator, you learn how to support individuals and groups to use their breath to reconnect with their own inner intelligence. As a result, the Breath Medicine approach is participant-led rather than facilitator-directed.
Facilitators are trained to listen closely — to breath, body, emotion, and relational field — and to respond with skill, discernment, and care. Rather than imposing a predetermined outcome or pushing participants toward catharsis or breakthrough, facilitators learn to support processes that unfold organically, at a pace that supports safety, regulation, and integration.
This approach balances depth with responsibility. It honours the power of altered and expanded states while recognising that sustainable transformation arises through grounded integration, relational safety, and embodied presence.
Breath Medicine facilitators are trained to hold containers that are:
• Trauma-informed and physiology-literate
• Grounded in consent, autonomy, and ethical responsibility
• Responsive to individual and group processes
• Oriented toward integration and long-term change
In Breath Medicine, the role of the facilitator is not to fix, direct, or interpret the participant’s experience, but to create the conditions in which individuals can safely access their own capacity for healing, insight, and transformation.
